Week Nine Term One

Haley and Lani are two girls we have had in our classroom from Christchurch. We are very sad because they have now both gone back to their old schools. Hopefully we will be writing some letters to them soon.

On Friday we made some clever fish to go with our poem for the week. We had to fold them and we had to cut two corners. Then we had to glue seaweed and a fish hook onto our blue paper using pva glue. We stuck sequins on our fish to make them look like scales. You can come into room one and see our beautiful fish on the wall.
Our poem of the week is Scary Scarecrow.

Our shared book of the week is Bertha and the Beeman. Bertha hates bees and the beeman loves bees. Bertha fell off the ladder while she was painting her house and the paint and ladder fell on her! The bees went around Bertha buzz, buzz, buzzing until the beeman came and helped her get up. After that Bertha clapped her hands and slapped her knees doing the bee dance with the beeman.

Our letter of the week last week was E. We made some elephants.
The letter of the week this week is I.

On Sunday it was Liliarna and Miss Fuehrers birthday. They had a fantastic day!
